At Steve Ward & Associates, our community involvement initiative is to serve our local community and participate in projects that honor God with our service. Our objective is to help keep our company grounded by serving others with our time, talents and treasures. We want to seek out opportunities that will allow our team members to participate and grow together while giving back. “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required” (Luke. 12.48). We continue to be blessed as a company, and we want to be strategic in our efforts to be good stewards.Below are a few of the organizations that we currently serve:
Preston Taylor Ministries – PTM was founded in 1998 to confront many of the problems present in the Preston Taylor public housing area. These problems include drug use, gang involvement, teenage pregnancy, illiteracy, poor school performance and crime. In order to provide hope for children and families living in this environment, PTM sponsors several avenues for building life-changing relationships.
Host an annual Pinewood Derby Race for the elementary aged children.
Spring Break in the Marketplace – Job shadowing for the 6th-12th grade students over their Spring Break. .
Nativity Store – The “Nativity Store” takes place in December, just before Christmas. Team members purchase clothing and toys for the PTM children.
Nashville Rescue Mission: A Christ-centered organization dedicated to helping the hungry, homeless and hurting.
SWA team members and family members volunteer to serve dinner to the homeless.
Habitat for Humanity: An ecumenical Christian ministry that provides life-changing opportunities for people to purchase and own quality, affordable homes.
Volunteer our time and talents to help build the Habitat homes for our local community.
Boy Scouts of America:Local, inter-city chapter.

Love Helps, Inc.: A Nashville, TN based, nonprofit organization working in Middle Tennessee’s public schools to encourage responsible behavior that can lead to a lifetime of success.
Team members volunteer for 30 minutes a week to read to a local kindergarten class.
