Where We’re Located

Our corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility is in Nashville, TN with three regional offices in both Tennessee and Florida. We perform projects across the Southeastern US.  This role is based out of our Florida region.

 

The Job

We are currently looking for the ideal candidate for the Florida Installation Manager position.

 

Job Responsibilities

In this role, the Florida Installation Manager will be responsible for:

  • Traveling to jobsites and vendors throughout the entire state of Florida.  All travel expenses are covered by SWA.

  • Having a working knowledge of casework, millwork, solid surface, fixed seating, telescopic seating, and all other products relevant to our trade.

  • Working effectively at jobsites as a field representative for our company.  This may include but is not limited to working with tools, making jobsite visits, getting field dimensions, checking on job progress, attending jobsite meetings, procuring materials, problem solving, and communicating well with both general contractors and subcontractors.

  • Working with the Sales Team and Estimators to determine accurate installation budgets and schedules to help develop more competitive pricing.

  • Working with Installers on different projects as they request direction and guidance.  This includes but is not limited to providing timely information to the Installers and maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency, keeping the Project Manager abreast of any job site issues, being budget minded, and recording any consistent themes from these calls or visits.

  • Attending all handoff meetings from Estimator to Project Manager for projects in Florida. 

  • Attending all handoff meetings from Project Manager to Installer for projects in Florida which can occur on-site, in a conference room, or by a TEAMS video call.

  • Training Installation crews on the SWA quality standards and visiting jobsites to ensure these installation standards are being followed.

  • Training installers to use the Autodesk app and monitor it daily to ensure that the software is being used correctly.  

  • Ensuring jobsite safety by doing job site safety walks and noting them on Autodesk (2 per month are required).

  • Reviewing and sending out a Florida installation schedule weekly.  This includes determining the best installation crew for each project and assigning new jobs to the appropriate installation team.

  • Meeting with the Director of Installation every two weeks to discuss installations which are either in progress or upcoming and managing installation budgets to achieve under-budget installations.

  • Recruiting and interviewing new installers and vendors.

  • Developing a master plan for Florida installation and executing it.

  • Leading relations with our customers on jobsites and especially taking the lead in the field on challenging projects.

  • Installing on limited occasions to make sure we meet critical project deadlines.
